My sister is a Christian who is dating a non-believer. She has drastically changed. The family is divided and we are not close like we used to be. Her boyfriend is 13 years older than her, does not work, takes her money and is very controlling. He tells her she needs to exercise, how to eat, what time she needs to wake up, and how she should wear her hair. We have tried to warn her, but she won't listen. Help... any opinions, advice, scriptures are much needed.Opinions, advice, helpful scriptures... for a family prob. NEED LOTS OF HELP PLEASE?
She sounds like she is being controlled to the extreme and I think the best thing that you can do for her is to pray for her. I'm sure she knows that you are all concerned for her well being as you should be but she has to make that decision for herself whether or not to stay in or get out. I think it would be very difficult for her if she ended up marrying him because they would constantly butt heads. Here are some passages to read and I hope they are helpful. 1 Corinthians 7: 12-17.Opinions, advice, helpful scriptures... for a family prob. NEED LOTS OF HELP PLEASE?
Prayer is the best thing you can do for her.Sadly if she is old enough to live on her own you cannot ';force:her to see the light.Try to speak to her alone, away from him,and ask her this-';is this how you want to live the rest of your life?';If you have kids do you want them treated this way as well?';I have a friend who married a controlling ,violent man.She is still with him and I feel so bad for her,but it was her choice.Make sure she knows that if she ever decides to leave that you will be there for her.Men like that try to tell women that no one else loves them-make sure she knows that this isn't true.GOD-bless
Well first off Matthew 7:1 Judge not lest you be judged. Yes you can tell the truth, simply ( in love be careful and not to judge) Pray for him 1 Thess 5:17; Salvation John 3:16-19 %26amp; 36; John 1:12, Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:12,10, Acts 16:31; 2 Peter 3:9.
Now honey on the unequally yoked part here are some scriptures I pray ( and quickly prayed) to King Jesus buy the Holy Spirit living in me,
2 Cor 6:14; Deut 7:1-26 paying close attention to 2%26amp;3;1 Cor 5:9-13.
2 Cor 6:14 is the only verse I can find that actually says this. But the others here do cross reference and help support it in this Life in the Spirit study Bible Jesus Christ allows me to have and study His preciuos word out of. John 15:5; 14:6. Revelation 2-3 looking at REPENT
3:20 says Behold I stand at the door( the door is your heart) if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him and he with Me. Me being King Jesus Christ.
I will continue to pray for this situation that he will receive true salvation and Jesus Christ in the form of the Holy Spirit of Almighty God Jehovah Elohim, Genesis 2:4-25, will touch his heart and convict this man and bring him to his knee's in humble surrender to the Master King of kings and Lord of lords( Revelation 19:16; 17:14; Daniel 2:47) .
We all must Mark 12:29-31; Matthew 22:37-40; Exodus 20; Deut 5.
1 John 5-10; James 5:15-16; Psalms 51-53 King David's writtings after Bethsheba in Repentance to Almighty God Jah ( Psalms 68:4)
If you need any more ask I prayerfully enjoy helping! LOL It make me feel good inside believing that Jesus Christ is using a sinner saved by grace ( Eph 2:8-10) to help others and believing by Faith Hebrews 11, that the other person, people's seeing all this typed in are being saved! John 14:1-5 Mansions in heaven!
Have a blessed one as always with agape love from the father I love you all Please if you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal savior invite Him into your heart now.
Philli[ians 2:10; Romans 14:11, and Isaiah 45:23 Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
