Advice needed for good board game for whole family ages 21-81 !?

Says it all really!Advice needed for good board game for whole family ages 21-81 !?
While trivial pursuit sounds good ... it would depend on how fast the 81 year old thinks. I just saw a game called Imaginiff. It's based on picking a person and using the cards statement to relate ... example Imagine if _____ was a vegetable which would they be 1. Broccoli 2. carrot 3. lettuce 4. cauliflower 4. green beans .... then points are given out. Simple and easy. We had a game called moods, there were phrases written on a card and you rolled the dice for the mood to say it in. We laughed a whole lot with this game.

You need games that don't make someone think too quick or have too much pressure since 21 usually react very quick and 81 like to take time and enjoy.Advice needed for good board game for whole family ages 21-81 !?
Mad Gab.

'; Teams work to decipher groups of unrelated words into real phrases before time runs out ';

Example: Ace Care Remove He = A scary movie

A creative game to play with friends and family of all ages. Very funny listening to people try to slur their words together :)

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. It's a good laugh for any ages.
Articulate is the best fun for all ages. As long as someone can read and articulate the answer in a way that the other team members can ascertain the answer you're on a roll. It can involve the young to the old all at once. It speaks volumes!!!!!!!!!!
dilemma

Jenga

Twister

Cranium

any of the atmospheres

Buzz if you have a PS2

Mr and Mrs if there are many couples

why not organise a treasure hunt or play your own versions of childrens games like musical chairs and pass the parcel
Try ';Sorry';. It's like Ludo, but with an edge.
We bought a game many years ago called Moviemaker which says exactly what the game is about. We still have this and play it with age groups 8 to 82.

I would also recommend Articulate
Get Apples to Apples.

The object of the game is to make the best match.

You have a hand full of 7 red cards (nouns). Each round, one player is the Judge and turns over a green card (adjective).

Each player except the Judge secretly plays a red card they think will be the best match for the green card. Then the Judge picks the best match, and the player who played the best red card gets to keep the green card as a way to keep score. Then the next player is Judge for the next round.

For Example:

The Judge turns over a green card: ';Annoying';

People play the following red cards:

Traffic

Mice

Nuclear War

Tom Cruise

The Judge thinks it over and eventually picks Tom Cruise. The person who played Tom Cruise keeps the green card ';Annoying';. Everyone except the Judge then draws a new red card to bring their hand back to 7. Now it's the next players turn to be Judge.

Check out the video review:

How about buying one of the Trivial Pursuit first editions and then buying an add on (additional questions) for the 90's! That way the younger ones can answer the more recent questions.

Enjoy!!
Try Articulate or Taboo!
I found Bullseye DVD game went down a treat in my house on Christmas Day
Cranium family edition - my 92 year old grandfather went crazy over it when we brought it out again this year.

Heroscape. It's a strategic combat board game. Everyone in our family plays, that's age range 7 thru 49, I bet the grandparents would give it a go too, but they live 4 hours away.

I would say go out and buy Catch Phrase. It has the most interaction and is great for people who love to describe things. not highly priced and has limited upkeep one being batteries and that is not even a problem.
My favourite family games:

1. Monopoly

2. Carrom Board (2 or 4 players)

3. Connect 4 (2teams)

4. Trivial Pursuits

Hello,

I use playandwin.co.uk site - once you have signed in you have a number of games that will keep you entertained for hours - my daughter who is 28 loves this site and my husband is 60 and he also loves to sit and relax and play the games.

Good luck - Also Happy New Year
Apples to Apples.

Loads of reviews on other sites.
CRANIUM is complete fun for the whole family with 4 different categories which will pit teams against one another, drawing with no eyes, guessing words backwards, and humming old tunes.

If you have an even number of family members CATCH PHRASE will leave everyone with laughs and smiles on there faces. It is game of hot potato with an object that has to be passed as a timer increases with beeps until it goes off in someones hand. While the timer is going fellow team mates must guess the word on the game piece that holder has to act out by talking or gestures. It is a must own for any family team gamer and you can thank me later!
